All Hyper Island's programs are performed with English as the main working language.
As an applicant to a Hyper Island Diploma Program you have to hold the equivalent school background of a Swedish upper-secondary graduation. Your application needs to include attested document/s in English or Swedish to verify this! Citizens of the European Community (including EEA citizens) do not need a resident permit to study at Hyper Island in Karlskrona or Stockholm. The only requirement concerning applicants from EU getting admitted to the program is to fill in the form Registration of right of residence and send it to the Swedish Migration Board! As a non-European Community citizen, you must apply for a resident permit in Sweden. Please start the resident permit procedure well in advance to the start of the program! COST Please note: the tuition fees apply only to the Hyper Island Diploma Programs, open to all English speaking persons regardless of nationality or citizenship. - Digital Media, Karlskrona, 90 weeks, 19 850 EUR - Digital Media, Stockholm, 90 weeks, 19 850 EUR - Interactive Art Director, Stockholm, 45 weeks, 10 900 EUR (VAT is omitted to all full-time programs) PAYMENT CONDITIONS Payment conditions for a 2-year full-time program: The payment should be at Hyper Islands account at the latest on the following dates: 50% is paid 20090701 20% is paid 20091231 (first year) 20% is paid 20100630 (first year) 10% is paid 10 days before student exam (the students will not get a complete Diploma if the full program fee is not paid.) Payment conditions for a 1-year full-time program: 50% is paid 10 days before course starts 40% is paid 20091231 (first year) 10% is paid 10 days before student exam (the students will not get a complete Diploma if the full program fee is not paid.) No interest will assume except for any penalty interest if the payment is delayed according to swedish law. A complete agreement to sign will be enclosed the possible admission letter. The agreement should be signed and forwarded back to Hyper Island in 14 days. Below is information regarding external scholarships that Hyper Island students can apply for: Human Finans In cooperation with Human Finans, Hyper Island now offers our Swedish students a chance to apply for interest-free financial services for up to 12 months. Visit Human Finans for more information: ![]() Leonardo da Vinci Hyper Island offers the opportunity for students to apply for a scholarship administrated by Hyper Island and The Swedish Programkontoret. The scholarship supports Vocational training abroad that will result in cooperation between countries, deeper knowledge about the industry and culture differences within the European union. The scholarship is intended for the internship period only. Hyper Island students who have secured internship placements in Europe (Europe only) can apply to this scholarship. Students of all citizenships, both Dipoloma Program and KY (AVET) Program students, can apply to the Leonardo da Vinci scholarship, as long as they fulfill all aspects of taking part of an educational program at Hyper island. The scholarship sum varies between programs and length of students' internship periods. The maximum amount that can be rewarded is 3000 EUR per student. Hyper Island can not guarantee that any of the Hyper Island students applying to Leonardo da Vinci will be rewarded with the scholarship. ACCOMMODATION Hyper Island does not currently offer accommodations such as a Campus or living quarters. Finding housing will be your own responsibility. Below are a few tips on where to find student apartments in Karlskrona or Stockholm. We also recommend teaming up with your potential classmates to look for housing together.
