| Press releases / April 8th 2008... | Hyper Island students in five continents
(Denna pressrelease finns även tillgänglig på svenska)
Even before the first year is over, the Interactive Art Director program is a true success. The students are extremely attractive in both Sweden and abroad. More than half of the students are doing their internship at top international agencies. The Interactive Art Director program is a new one-year full-time program at Hyper Island. The program aims towards students with two years of previous design experience. The program is based on Hyper Island's unique pedagogy, where students learn-by-doing and mix change management, creativity with interactive sessions from the worlds leading industry professionals. The first group of Interactive Art Director students are currently doing their internship at agencies such as Farfar (Stockholm), Goodby Silverstein & Partners (San Francisco), Wieden + Kennedy (Amsterdam). R/GA (London), Le Bureau (Stockholm) and Åkestam.Holst (Stockholm). "There is a great need for competence within interactive media in Sweden as well as abroad. Hyper Island is the leading educational centre to fill this need", says Mattias Hansson, Hyper Island's CEO. "The fact that our students are spread out in cities such as New York, Peking and Karlstad, tell you a lot about the high level of our students competence. It is no coincidence that we have internship requests from seven of the ten most rewarded interactive agencies in the world." A great opportunity to take a closer look at the school is to visit Hyper Island's open house on the 12th of April. During the day you can meet current and previous students, lecturers, listen to various DJ:s as well as the staff of Hyper Island.
