Ylva works as a Regional Director at the Swedish Red Cross in the northern part of Sweden. She prefers to be in an environment where she can be creative, think out loud and make things happen. She is a firm believer in dialogues and is convinced that we - with joined forces - can change the world.


Background
- I have exerience from many different jobs within the social services, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish health care system and the non profit sector. I have had the privilege of working with education and different projects for individuals, groups and organizations.

What is it like to work for the Red Cross?
- It is the world's greatest job! Imagine working with engaged volunteers and co-workers to help people in need. In my work as a Regional Director I find my UGL-skills to be useful everyday!

What kind of teamwork experiences do you have?
- I have worked with teamwork in many forms. Among other things I have worked with vulnerable kids and as a consultant for managers and leaders, to help them in their efforts to build good and functioning teams. I have also worked as a manager myself, and had the opportunity to build teams with my co-workers.

Why did you become a UGL-facilitator?
- Because I really enjoy to see other people grow while I, myself, learn new things as well. In UGL there are good opportunities to find ways to develope with an open and honest communication and this stimulates me.

Do you have a motto?
- I have many mottos. One of them is: "Anything is possible, the impossible just takes longer". A second one is "Together we can change the world".
