Jan has worked for the Swedish Armed Forces as a career officer and lieutenant-colonel for 30 years, and has a lot of experience of working with groups and teams. Nowadays he lives in Kiruna and works with leadership- and teambuilding training.




Background
Jan has experience from many different managerial posts within the Swedish Armed Forces such as: training manager, chief of staff, manager of the Swedish Armed Forces' Centre for Leadership, UN observer and security administrator in Damascus, Syria.

Jan about working in a team:
- During my years in the Swedish Armed Forces I learned about the importance of a well-functioning team. I believe that a good team can be much more effective. Plus, it's fun to work in a team!

What do you do when you have time off?
- I have a holiday house in Vittangi in the north of Sweden where I do all sorts of winter activities like skiing in the winter. In the summer I spend time with my family and ride my motorbike.
