The Interactive Art Director program is a one-year vocational program (KY-program), graduating Art Directors for the digital and interactive media industry.

Interactive Art Director offers 45 points within the AVET-system (Advanced Vocational Education & Training), which is free of charge for all persons fluent in any of the following Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Faeroese) regardless of nationality or citizenship, and KY (AVET) entitles inhabitants in Sweden (and, in some cases, EU and EES) to student loan funds.

English speaking persons regardless of nationality or citizenship can apply to Digital Media as private-paying Diploma Program students. (See our tuition fee page.)

The primary working language at the Interactive Art Director program in Stockholm is English.

The program requires a minimum of two years of industry experience or previous fulltime education within the design and interactive area and aims to graduate Art Directors specialized in digital and interactive media.

Throughout the course the students will explore in-depth studies in i.e. interaction design, digital branding, management, design strategy, design for future platforms and motion graphics.

The program is project- and process-oriented and mixes academic and practical work throughout the program. It is based on "action learning" (learning-by-doing and learning-by-reflection) and is built on actual projects. The program is run by industry professionals from around the globe.

During the first 32 weeks the students will work in about 5 different main projects. Applied within the projects are knowledge about design for future platforms, information system design and technology, interaction design, design tools, design strategy, digital branding, usability, team management and market communication.

The final 13 weeks are spent in industrial placements. This is a great opportunity to learn and get connections within actual companies around the world.
